Help Shape Our New All-Age Carers Strategy

Your voice matters — join a co-production workshop this winter

We're pleased to share news of an important piece of work now underway: the development of a new All-Age Carers Strategy, which will shape how unpaid carers are recognised, supported, and worked alongside across the borough.

An unpaid carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner, or friend who needs help due to illness, disability, a mental health condition, or an addiction — and this includes parent carers, carers of autistic people, and many who may not even think of themselves as "carers".

Get Involved: Co-Production Workshops

The strategy is now entering its engagement phase, and everyone is invited to help shape its priorities and focus. Two workshops have been confirmed:

📅 Stakeholder Workshop
‍ ‍Thursday 26 November 2026, 3:00pm–5:00pm Desborough Theatre, Town Hall

📅 Resident and Carer Workshop
‍ ‍Wednesday 2 December 2026, 2:00pm–4:00pm Desborough Theatre, Town Hall

Both sessions will be built around a series of facilitated discussions exploring different aspects of carers' experiences and support. No prior knowledge or preparation is needed — just your experiences and views.

How to Take Part

If you would like to participate, or know someone who would, simply reply to the original email to register your interest.

Together, we can help build a strategy that truly reflects the needs and voices of unpaid carers in our community.
