Your opinion matters - Changes to Social Care (Gov)

June to August 2026 | Changes to Social Care | online form | RBWM

Your opinion matters - Please fill out the questionnaire regarding Changes to Social Care (*links below).

The Families First Partnership (FFP) Programme is a major national initiative by the UK Department for Education reforming children's social care in England. The new social care model focuses on rebalancing the system to provide earlier, more collaborative support. Families in need of help are referred to a dedicated family help team and allocated a family help lead practitioner. This could be a social worker or another qualified worker who acts as a consistent partner. By using a single, collaborative assessment, the goal is to ensure that all services work from one plan, preventing families from having to ‘tell their story’ more than once.

For more information, we have attached the flyer to explain in more details:‘Have your say about Social Care Reforms’.

The changes focus on:

• supporting families earlier
• making services clear and easy to understand
• improving outcomes for children
• working closely with parents, carers and guardians.

To ensure our children’s service provider at RBWM to hear our local families’ voice and to make the right changes, please take some time to fill in the online questionnaire:
